It's electric!
I was just electrocuted while trying to change the bulb in an old lamp.

Twice.

It didn't hurt... felt kind of funny, but I think I'm awake now.

please throw the lamp away and replace it. what you felt was the lamp asking nicely to be retired.

Noooo! I like the lamp. I just thought it was turned off when it wasn't. Pair that with the old wiring in my apartment, and Saturday morning fun is bound to happen.
